A wonderful afternoon at Zealong Tea celebrating International Women's Day 2021 with our Waahine Toa: Reignite fundraising event, resulted in more than $23,000 being raised for the Waikato Women's Fund.

Women - and men - from across the Waikato donned their finery for an elegant afternoon with fabulous conversation, a wonderful array of auction items, and an incredible line up of inspiring speakers, including Amanda BettsGolriz GhahramanJo Shortland and Rachel Petero - Ko Waikato Te Iwi.

Supported by event partner Tompkins Wake and principle sponsors Duncan & EbbettHamilton Volvo and Craigs Investment Partners, the signature event raised $23,802.73 for the Waikato Women's Fund, a significant contribution towards the Fund's goal to grow a $1,000,000 endowment trust by 2024.

Hamilton Mayor, Paula Southgate and our ever-engaging MC, Jan-Maree Franicevic, joined over 100 guests to share in the joy of giving, making change happen and helping to create a ‘nest-egg’ for Waikato women.

Thank you to all the women and men who attended in support of the Waikato Women's Fund and our ambitious goal.
