Waahine Toa re-ignite!

Published on 11 Feb 2021

We have some news that is going to make your temperatures soar.

You may (or may not) have heard a whisper but....in partnership with Tompkins Wake, 'Waahine Toa: Re-ignite' is back and our signature fundraising event is going to be an event in the calendar you won't want to miss.

So, save the date - Saturday 13 March, 1-5pm - get your your best hat and glad-rags on , your wallets out and book your friends for a fine High Tea experience at Zealong Tea Estate.

It'll be an afternoon of inspirational speakers, empowering conversations, a live and silent auction of donated items and an opportunity to ‘Re-ignite’ your passion for 2021 and the work of our fund.

Waahine Toa: Re-ignite is an event where four inspirational Waahine Toa-women will share their wisdom, life experiences and empowering stories, speak into leadership and influence, diversity and inclusivity and their own New Zealand and/or global impact.

Following 2020 our inner flame may have dimmed - this event will celebrate what it means to be a re-ignited Waahine Toa making a meaningful and transformative difference.

All proceeds raised at Waahine Toa: Re-ignite go to the Waikato Women’s Fund purpose of ensuring women and young girls and their communities are achieving their aspirations. Our voluntary committee achieve this by growing the fund, making grants, and celebrating women and girls across the Waikato region.

The Waikato Women’s Fund is a giving circle operating under the umbrella of Momentum Waikato Community Foundation’s regional endowment, with the resulting investment income supplying funds to disburse.
